This resource was developed by Registrars and Senior House Officers to act as an aid memoir for orthopaedic junior doctors at the Royal Derby Hospital.
Junior doctors have variable experience in on-call orthopaedics before working in the department. When they become the orthopaedic junior on-call, they often feel overwhelmed and it can be intimidating. Alongside close senior support and a robust induction course, this resource is a quick reference guide to help them make decisions and learn on-the-job.
